“ Went here this morning to grab a couple of quick bites. Ordered the lemon bar, a peanut butter cookie, and a chocolate chip cookie. I will add that they were all out of their scones so I'm guessing I missed out on the go-to item. Anyway, what we did order was splendid and delicious. The lemon bar was fresh, the lemon was perfect - tart and not too sweet. The peanut butter cookie was just baked as it was still warm. Had a jelly center filling which was a nice touch. Haven't had the choco chip yet but the ones we had were probably some of the best baked that we've had. Service was good and there was plenty of foot traffic. If I'm ever in Oakland again, I would absolutely come back to this little gem. ”
“ I used to come here regularly prior to the pandemic but haven't been in the neighborhood much since then. I enjoyed it then and I'm enjoying my experience today. I ordered a Chai Latte and was happy that they made it with Oatmilk so I didn't have to ask. The barista provided excellent service and actually asked if I wanted cinnamon prior to giving me the latte. I did and it was a nice addition. I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie with walnuts, shhh I didn't really need it, lol. The cookie was good but would've been better heated. I didn't ask so there's that. Just a nice vibe, good music, great location, and very spacious. I'd come here again. ”

“ I've have been here some years ago for their coffee but this time I get to try their bagels. I loved it! I got the everything bagel Turkey club sandwich bagel. It's well toasted with the crispy on the outside then soft and tasty with everything else in between. I also ordered a lavender latte. I thought it would be sweet but it is not and light on the lavender taste. The bagel cost me $13 ish with tax but you can get the basic egg, cheddar cheese, and a choice of meat for $8. Their service was fast and efficient since there were like 6 people ahead of me. I got my all my stuff within 5 minutes. Please add me if you like my vibe! ”
“ Sweet Bar Bakery has become one of my go to morning spots in Uptown. The staff are really nice and the cafe feels homey and comforting. In my opinion, it's the perfect spot to chill and take it easy and maybe get some work done. I don't usually get their drinks but the few that I've tried are pretty decent. Usually I order a sandwich or a California Bagel (which definitely seems to be a favorite here). ”
